10 Seconds is enough for any thief. If you leave your bike unlocked or unsecured outside a shop or building you go into, there's every chance that an opportunist thief can just ride off with your unlocked unattended bike, even if is is visible through the other side of a takeaway window. It happens, alot!
When locking up your bike, make sure it is attached by your lock(s)
to an immovable and solid object that it cannot be lifted off from.
(I've seen too many locked but unattached bikes, or one that can be
lifted from bollards, just waiting to be snacthed).
Make sure it is locked up in a safe place (preferably in view of bustling public places, and under surveilance of a cameras or in the vicinity of shop security staff).
Hiding your locked bike in a dark or secluded area is the perfect place... for a thief.
It's just the type of place where they will hang about (especially drug addicts looing for something of value to sell, it's less risky than shoplifting, because no correlating with the growing popularity of cycling, and It doesn't just cost money, but cusomers that could have used that bike next, and time and effort to replace any bikes that are stolen!
All bikes are pre-checked for safety and reliability, then
double checked before you get to use them.
We will try to provide you with a compact bicycle repair and medical kit, in case something happens.
